Risk. What is it? How can we assess it?

TLDR? Risk is a catch-all term that can be flexibly specified as you require, but generally refers to the potential for a negative event occurring. A proper assessment of risks therefore requires an anchor scenario, determining the probability of occurrence and the magnitude of a negative event.
