Sasseur REIT’s distributed income up by 16.9% for 3Q2020, DPU up by 7.6%

Sasseur Real Estate Investment Trust (Sassuer REIT) reported on 13 November that distributable income for the quarter ended 30 September (3Q 2020) increased by 16.9% to S$21.2 million. Distribution per unit of 1.764 cents for 3Q 2020 was declared, an increase of 16.7% from the previous quarter. DPU for the nine months ended 30 September 2020 dropped slightly by 6% to 4.610 cents, down from 4.9094 cents for the corresponding period in 2019. 30.3% higher variable rental income of RMB 50.2 million was recorded in 3Q2020 resulting in higher EMA Rental income while lower interest expense was reduced due to the reduction of Swap Offer Rate (“SOR”) for offshore loan and lower effective tax rate. Portfolio sales rebounded strongly to nearly pre-COVID-19 levels in line with the economic recovery of China and the four outlet malls generated total sales of RMB1.1 billion for 3Q 2020, 32.9% higher than 2Q 2020.
