I Made a Big Bet on Intel

From September 2020 onwards, I started accumulating shares in Intel Corp (ticker INTC). I am writing down my thoughts now so that I can reassess my thinking in the future. A slice of history

Intel is part of a oligopoly in the industry of making and selling Central Processing Units or CPUs. CPUs are the brains inside your computers, smartphones and servers. In the 1990s and 2000s, Intel was king of the hill – it was the crushing market leader in the CPU market. From the 2010s till present day, Intel lost its crushing lead as the trioka of AMD, ARM and Nvidia challenged its grip. Nevertheless, Intel is not out of the fight....
