I have always found it cool to be a day trader working on a trading station like the one below: You know, you get to work for yourself and use your wits and capital to make money from the markets. Perfect for an introvert. Plus, it makes one feel smart and powerful. I reminisced about the days when I indulged in trading literature like Dr Alexander Elder’s Trading for a Living, reading it was a liberating experience. I started out trading stocks, forex and CFDs but eventually found out that I am not talented enough to be a day trader. I am better with fundamental analysis and holding stocks long term. Even though I have stopped trading, I have always held my respect for those who can trade for a living. Trading for a living is tough, I only know of a handful of successful day traders and even got a chance to interview some of them for my first book, Secrets of Singapore Trading Gurus.
