Being raised in a society where we are often praised for being outspoken and where participation points form part of your grades, being introverted felt like a character flaw for the longest time. And being vastly different from this ideal could feel a little wrong sometimes. As I grew older, I realise that I wasn’t alone. I felt connected to so many others, and would often feel entertained and understood when I came across memes about introverts.
