Recent conversations with friends have made me question the potential of financial independence and if I should instead view it as nothing more than fleeting thoughts or arduous journey. In fact, there are always two sides to a story, two sides of a coin, mutually exclusive or independent variables, and 2 ways of living - 求人不如求己. To work it forward & backwards and never depend on others have always been my living mantra. Forward: Know what you have & then how will it measure. Backwards: Imagine what you need & then how to achieve it. While both are linear progression of positions, the nuance lies in the pecuniary position of current, in-between, and future.
