Top Stock Highlights of the Week: CDG is Out, S-REIT’s 20th Anniversary and Singapore Banks Raising Interest Rates

Changes to STI constituents In its regular quarterly review of the Straits Times Index (SGX: ^STI), index leader FTSE Russell, a unit of the London Stock Exchange Group (LON: LSEG), announced one change to the constituents. ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited (SGX: C52), the land transport giant with a total fleet size of more than 34,000 buses, taxis and rental vehicles, will be dropped from the bellwether index. In its place, Emperador Inc (SGX: EMI) will be slotted into the index. The Filipino company is the largest liquor company in its home country and is dual-listed on both the Singapore Stock Exchange and the Philippine Stock Exchange. Emperador operates an integrated alcohol business, manufacturing, bottling and distributing distilled spirits and other alcoholic beverages from the Philippines and Europe....
