While many Westerners leave their family homes as early as 18, it’s not the same for us Singaporeans with our limited land space and expensive property prices. Yet, for some of us, moving out from the comfort of our parents’ home alone is something we have to face, be it for mental health reasons or the desire to experience “true independence”.
