Happy National Day to all our readers! This year’s National Day is markedly different from previous ones. Still, the celebrations serve as a reminder of how we are all united in our fight against COVID-19. A Sunday Times article today reminded us once again of how persistent this virus is and the difficulty involved in eradicating it. It is admittedly depressing to read about how the disease continues to gain ground. More than eight million new cases of COVID-19 were recorded last month, more than the first six months put together. During times like these, I remember an old song title by a Bon Jovi, a favourite band of mine, called “Keep the Faith”. And that’s exactly what we should do during such challenging times.
