SIA load factor fell 2.4% in Jan!

On 15/Feb, Singapore shares ended higher after China plans to expand its support to Europe as the region grapples with debt woes.

STI ended higher at 3011.68 (0.8%) with LOW VOL of 2.56 billion shares traded compared with 2.11 billion shares Tuesday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 326 to 128. Today STI undergo heavy buying pressure on the news of China lending support to the Euro zone.

SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) has signed a two-year aircraft maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) services agreement with low-cost carrier, Scoot.

Singapore Airlines overall load factor slip 2.4 points in January to 65.5 per cent compared to 67.9 per cent a year ago due to the Lunar New Year holidays which was in January this year compared to February in 2011.
