Warren Buffett and Bill Gates are bullish on uranium

We have much negative sentiments due to the earthquake situation in Japan causing problems with the nuclear power plants in Japan. This resulted in a lot of misgivings about using nuclear as a power source long term. My take is that the world cannot live without nuclear as a power source simply because there aren’t many good yielding alternatives. This week Warren Buffett and his pal Bill Gates gave nuclear the thumbs up. Warren Buffett through Berkshire Hathaway have utilities that are developing or acquiring developments in this area.
Mr. Gates gave nuclear energy company TerraPower a lot of praise, which makes sense considering that he has invested what Wired described as “undisclosed millions” in the company. TerraPower uses less-toxic uranium as its fuel, so the reactor produce as little as one-one-thousandth of the typical amount of radioactive wastes.
