SIA to set up low cost carrier for longer routes!

On 25/May, Singapore shares end higher Wednesday though market sentiment continued to be weak due to debt issues in the Europe and a slowdown in China.

STI ended higher at 3118.65 (0.2%) with regular VOL of 1.23 billion shares traded compared with 1.14 billion shares Tuesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 242 to 178. Today rally is lack of conviction which can be affirm by the negative market breadth despite index gains higher.

Singapore Airlines (SIA)n plans to set up a low cost carrier such as such as Jetstar Asia and Tiger Airways to provide another growth opportunity.

Allgreen Properties Ltd. (A16.SG) has appointed KPMG Corporate Finance Pte. Ltd. as the independent financial adviser on the bid by Brookvale Investments Pte. Ltd. to take the company private.
