Health is Wealth (A Reminder)

I’ve written this post to remind myself that health is truly wealth. During the last two months, my intern on attachment in my department had been falling sick almost weekly. I think part of it is her weak constitution but also she’s undergoing some challenges in her relationship with one of her siblings. Because of that, she wanted to drop out of the attachment because she feels that her attendance record has been quite poor and it’s not fair on the organisation to take her on even though her contributions were limited by her health issues.

I also had a light sprain on my ankle yesterday while walking towards the MRT station from an external meeting. Luckily I didn’t put my full weight down on my right leg so just had a relatively “light” sprain, i.e. I can walk without much pain but my ankle hurts if I put ...
