SIA 1Q net profit fall 82% to S$45m!

On 28/July, Singapore shares ended lower as U.S unable to resolve the negotiations on raising its debt ceiling, which could spur a credit downgrade or even a debt default.

STI ended lower at 3189.35 (0.1%) with HIGH VOL of 1.73 billion shares traded compared with 1.72 billion shares Wednesday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 270 to 240. Today STI are basically trending directionless as most investors rather keep sidelined than to perform any trading due to uncertainties at U.S.
