The interest rate war has began. The POSB 1.5% promotion was recently introduced to us. I have also talked about the previous UOB fix deposit promotion here. UOB stepped up a notch and came up with a much more direct and attractive promotion(here) to beat the competition. All you need is a minimum amount of $20,000 and you will be entitled to the 1.5% deposit rate. Point to note, their maximum limit is capped at $999,999,999, which basically mean no max limit. I find this promotion to be much better than their recent 1.2% Christmas savings promotion. As the interest rate for this is much more attractive.
