
“When I was your age ah…” A familiar opening sentence for many Singaporean parents when they start to look at this generation’s way of work and life. More often than not, parents are at the winning end in this conversation by exemplifying grit, blood, sweat and tears in their yesteryears when compared to ours now. I sometimes consider whether or not this mindset will be set on ourselves 10 years down the road, on our children.
