This week, we join homeowners Qin Hui and Janice as they take you through their recently renovated 5-room HDB resale flat in Boon Keng. They moved in 6 months ago and were determined to create a modern minimalist space that reflected their personal style and love for entertaining. With a floor area of 1,184 square feet and a renovation cost of $100,000, they did an entire overhaul of the previous owner’s 16-year-old home. One of their favourite features of the house is the full city view from the kitchen, as well as the spacious living room. The uniform white and grey colour scheme, along with walnut wood furniture pieces, helps to reduce visual clutter, creating a calming atmosphere. They opted for a short throw projector instead of a TV to keep in line with the minimalist theme.
