Wills and Trusts service in line with fee-based model

Bookmark and Share Since the beginning of 2010, I’ve started to introduce Wills and Trusts service to my clients. Prior to that, I would ask my clients to see recommended lawyers based on an introducer arrangement. For those who are unfamiliar with these commercial jargons, under an introducer arrangement I as the introducer is not involve in the advisory at all. Frankly speaking, I always feel very uncomfortable because I have no control over what takes place. Very often, I found myself giving advice to my clients because the lawyer wouldn’t spend time talking to them. Also I found many lawyers lack the social skills to establish a relationship with their clients. In other words, because my clients trusted me and have a relationship with me, I was obligated to give advice. So I decided to change the model altogether.
