SingTel Increase Stake in Bharti Airtel To 32.25%!

On 11/April, Singapore shares end lower Monday as investors took profit ahead of the company earnings season.

STI ended lower at 3160.44 (0.8%) with LOW VOL of 1.25 billion shares traded compared with 1.62 billion shares Monday. In the broader market, losers outnumbered gainers 331 to 144.  Today STI under go selling pressure as investors took profit on recent gains.

City Developments Ltd. (C09.SG) will joint venture with Malaysian conglomerate IOI Corp. (1961.KU) to restructure its South Beach property project in Singapore.

After market close

Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (Z74.SG) has increased its stake in India’s Bharti Airtel Ltd. (532454.BY) by buying 2.83 million shares for INR934 million.

Tiger Airways passengers increased 18 per cent for March compared to the same month in 2010, while the average load factor inched up one percentage.
