My Malaysia Stock Portfolio End October 2011

Made some adjustments to my portfolio, I added Al-Aqar KPJ REIT to my portfolio for Malaysia. I took out Petronas Dagangan and TM as I think there are some serious challenges in government linked companies. I took the rally last month to dispose both stocks as I am quite tired of watching the politics that go on in GLCs. Personally, I think Petronas is trying to get more competitive tendering, but the local companies are against it. With all the red tape and political agendas, I hardly think that the GLCs can be very competitive. Even the recent MRT and Pudu Jail tendering has created a lot of hoohah among the local firms. In my long term view, I have decided to remove all Malaysia GLCs from my stock portfolio until the government has demonstrated a clear path to being competitive.
