Wilmar To Abandon Property Project In China!

On 23/Dec, Singapore shares ended higher on strong U.S. economic data.

STI ended higher at 2676.47 (0.4%) with LOW VOL of 405.1 million shares traded compared with 426 million shares Thursday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers 179 to 99. Today STI rally on weak buying pressure as investors remain sidelined on holiday sessions ahead.

Noble Group Ltd. (N21.SG) will vote in favor of the planned merger between its 64.5%-owned Australian subsidiary Gloucester Coal Ltd. (GCL.AU) and the Australian unit of China’s Yanzhou Coal Mining (YZC) and that it expects book a gain of about US$200 million from its divestment.

STX OSV Holdings Ltd. (MS7.SG) has secured a contract worth approximately NOK200 million (US$33.6 million) for the construction of a liquefied natural gas-powered vessel.
