As a follow up to the previous post about the Felda listing, this post will look at the maturity profiles of the key listed plantation players on both Bursa and SGX. The SGX listed players are mainly Indonesian planters and many of them are relatively new, giving them an advantage over the older Malaysian plantation players. Malaysian plantation stocks however, have also made inroads to Indonesia and as plantation landbank in Malaysia is getting scarce.
Currently, the players which will achieve the highest FFB growth in the next couple of years will be mainly players with large planted immature trees in Indonesia. The following chart, extracted from the the Edge Malaysia shows a good comparison.
