Forbes has released its list of the world’s billionaires. For Singapore, the list has sixteen Singaporean billionaires. This list excludes foreign billionaires who are living in Singapore, for example, the Brazilian founder of Facebook. Those who are in the Singapore’s list are locally born Singaporeans. And hence there are more than sixteen billionaires amidst all of us (five million population) living on this tiny island. And if we are to count the number of millionaires here, there are really many thousands of them here.
