During the month I retired from my first job, we received a bumper crop of dividends from the stocks we own. Totaling $2,000, this is definitely the largest sum we have ever received from dividends in a single month. Although not yet enough to fully replace my previous job’s income, it’s an amount not to be sniffed at too!
Moreover, there were also some gains in the portfolio (mostly contributed by the rise in Vicom) and coupled with the upcoming interest from the new OCBC 360 Account, it’s highly likely that this passive income portfolio will breach $250,000 by next month. Somehow the target for the year would be reached six months earlier. Woohoo!
On a more cautious note, if there is a need to conserve more cash in the upcoming months, there is a possibility we could divest the Philip Sharebuilder plan. Since our portfolio has expanded to include almost ......
