The S&P had a decent gain of 12% in the year of 2014 despite being hit by the mega oil bear, so far the S&P has been a on a raging 5 year bull, gaining close to a total of 80% over the last 5 years!
Looking home, the STI had a small gain of 6% for 2014, so far the STI only managed 15% total returns over the last 5 years which seems petty compared to the US.
Some investors are really worried of a US stock market bubble and often these are the kinda investors that move their holdings completely to cash and hide it under their mattress thinking that they will be safe.
