Comfort Zone

2015 is a defining year for me in terms of my career development. I transferred to a new department and left the old one, which I had spent a good five years since joining the company. It was a big leap out of my comfort zone and my circle of competency.  I could have stayed on and continue to excel at the tasks that I am so used to. My new role is totally alien to me.  I have to build my technical knowledge in a new system from ground zero.  The learning curve is steep and daunting. It was a carefully weighted decision.  Firstly, I have a deep curiosity for knowledge.  I enjoy learning new stuff everyday.  In my old role, I find that I am no longer able to generate the knowledge growth that I seek.  I am at the pinnacle ......
