Core Net profits were up 13%, which was way above my expectation of 5-10%.
If we include the big one off gain in 2014, net profits were only 2% higher in 2015.
I do expect OCBC to rally sharply in the short term.
There has been a lot of worries about the recent "China Crisis" and yeah China is one of OCBC's key markets that contributes 20% of pre-tax profits, way higher as compared to UOB's 8%.
However risky it may seem...in the long run, I do feel that China is a very important market to be in... considering that they are the 2nd largest economy in the world its a big cake that you don't want to miss a bite.
On their Loan Books, China forms 26% of it~ so the exposure here is really pretty high. If you are really negative on the China market, you may ......
