2016 Portfolio Outlook

Over the last 12 months the STI has declined a whopping 22%, looking forward I think its very unlikely that we would see another big down year, the odds of the market going up from this low point is way way higher than it going down.. maybe something like 80/20. So I would definitely continue to buy as much stocks as I can get my hands on. Banks - OCBC & UOB Overall Banks had very strong earnings growth in 2015, as OCBC earnings were up 13%, DBS up 12%, with the exception of UOB which saw earnings down 1.2%, yet banks got sold down over 30% from peak as investors fear of their loan books going sour. If they were to spend time checking the fundamentals, lending to commodities and related companies are only like 5-7% of their books which is not a lot. DBS CEO mentioned that ......
