Often, users do not agree with the stock's sector and/or industry which are categorized by my upstream data source. Now, you can override them easily.
Steps:
1) Using your desktop browser, go to the individual stock page (e.g. DBS).
2) Click on "Edit Sector/Industry".
3) Select the new sector/industry you want.
4) Click update to save.
Note that this will only affect your own account. In addition, you can only change to one of the 138 sector and industry categories availble.
There are several places where this change will be reflected. For example, the current portfolio pie charts and dividends received pie charts.
I must be frank though; Sector and industries are used in many parts of StocksCafe and I might not have hunted all of them down. If you find anything not updated, please let me know.
