Reader’s Digest Sweepstakes – Real or Fake?
By Derek  •  March 4, 2015
I wonder how many households have received this. I remember receiving it a couple of years ago and tried my luck. Each time I was told that I was the selected few to make it into the next round and encourage me to sign up to increase my chances, and each time I declined. After a few rounds, I think they gave up because I did not received any more letters. I used to read Reader's Digest frequently during my school days and I subscribed to it too. I still remember waiting eagerly for the mail man to deliver the book in a brown envelope. However with the the emergence of the Internet, Reader's Digest like most print publications has been on a decline. I recall reading that they filed for bankruptcy a few years ago  and it makes me wonder how they have the funds to finance this draw. A quick search turns up some pictures of people receiving the prize money but there were also many post doubting the authenticity of it. Nevertheless, there is no harm in taking part again and sharing it with readers. Who knows, maybe I will end up winning the grand prize? I hope to be pictured here soon. Finally. I hope to be pictured here soon.[/caption] Reader's Digest has kept up with the times at least for their prize draw. They use to send all the above via snail mail. Now it is just a 5 mins job online. I also realized that there is no official name for this. They have used Prize Draw, Sweepstakes, Grand Prize, Bonus Draw and Jackpot. Now I'm just waiting for my entry confirmation and reference number. Is anyone participating or has participated in this draw before?
